The history of Solid began nearly 20 years ago when Paweł Pasierb, the founder and co-owner of the company, took over his father’s carpentry workshop. Initially, the business focused mainly on crafting furniture for individual buyers. As the number of orders grew, Solid moved from a small rented building to its own factory at 17 Bogumińska Street in Gorzyce, Silesia. The old water bottling plant that had previously occupied the site was either demolished or modernized and changed into innovative production halls and wood drying facilities.
With the relocation to the new factory, Solid expanded its stock. The company began producing beech jointing biscuits—small wooden connectors for wood or furniture boards, serving as an alternative to traditional wooden dowels.
The beech jointing biscuits production line is an innovative, original technology designed and developed by the owner of Solid, a graduate of the Cracow University of Technology, whose passion is simply finding the best technical solutions.
Out of respect for nature, the entire production process is eco-friendly, designed to maximize the use of beechwood in Solid jointing biscuits. The tools are designed to minimize waste from the wooden slats out of which the biscuits are cut . Any leftover beechwood chips are reused as bedding for pet litter trays, while fine, dry beech sawdust is used to produce pellets that heat the entire factory.
Today, Solid is a registered brand recognized not only in Poland. Beech jointing biscuits in sizes Type 0, Type 10, and Type 20 are shipped to customers in Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Romania, Austria, France, Germany, Estonia, and South Africa.
